Description:
The project seeks funding to assist in the purchase and modification of a wheelchair-accessible vehiclea Toyota Hiace busfor Michael Cook, a respected Riverland community member who became an incomplete quadriplegic following a cycling accident in April 2023. The vehicle will enable Michael to travel to essential medical appointments, attend community events, and reconnect with the social groups and volunteer networks that have long been part of his life. The project is community-led, with fundraising coordinated through the Rotary Club of Berri and the Berri Bike Boys cycling club.
