Description:
Homelessness is a growing crisis in Western Australia, with Albany alone recording more than 190 people in need and social housing demand rising 30% in the past 18 months. Rotary WA, in partnership with My Home and community organisations, is addressing this by delivering 12 new sustainable homes in McKail, Albany. While government funding covers construction, the community must raise $97,000 to furnish and stock these houses, turning them into safe, welcoming homes. By working together with Lions, Soroptimist, Inner Wheel, CWA and others, we will provide dignity, stability, and pathways out of homelessness for vulnerable individuals.
