The Friends of Himalayan Children Project (FHC) is a partnership between the Rotary Club Cairns Sunrise, Queensland, Australia, the Rotary Club of Balaju (Kathmandu), Nepal and the Friends of Himalayan Children, Australia and Nepal. The Friends of Himalayan Children Project (FHC) is a volunteer-run, humanitarian organisation, working in remote rural communities in Nepal. Funds raised from the project will deliver the following:-
1. Provide classrooms, teacher and student accommodation to allow the Batase school to be extended from grade 10 to grade 12.
2. Enhance facilities to attract and retain high-calibre teachers to this remote school which is the heart of Batase village.
3. Providing education opportunities for students in primary school, high school in Batase and to attend university or college in Kathmandu or outside the village.
Tax Deductibility:
Rotary Australia Overseas Aid Fund (Managed by RAWCS) has Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) registration and has been listed as a Charitable Fund so we can accept tax deductible Donations from individuals or organisations.
