Description:
The project is to provide solar powered water for villagers of the Tharaha Province of Kenya. This is a poor rural province of which 97 percent of the population have no access to clean water and very few have electricity. The use of solar units will eliminate the need to boil water using wood or coke to make it drinkable. The project will also have ongoing sustainable outcomes in improving the villagers overall health and their economic development in reducing the need in buying fuel with their meagre funds.
