Project Name:
Kyebe Maternity Clinic, Uganda (RAOAF)
Country:
Uganda
Description:
This project is to renovate and re-establish the Maternity Ward and Children's Ward of the Kyebe Maternity Clinic, based in Kyebe Uganda.
The clinic and ward is currently used, but in a state of disrepair due to lack of maintenance funds, and staff are resorting to using sub-standard consumables and equipment. Local mothers are unable to access any other facility, and due to the state of disrepair the risk of complications during childbirth is high. The ultimate goal of this project is to return the clinic and ward to a usable, safe and secure environment to improve the healthcare outcomes of the local community. Our goal is to empower the local community to take ownership of the project and the facility long term.
