Description:
There are currently at least 9,000 people experiencing homelessness every night in Western Australia. My Home Australasia Limited, a company with registered charitable status, has been set up to work with government and the corporate/private sector in a public private partnership to build and provide permanent homes for homeless people. Rotary Clubs in District 9455 have undertaken to provide furniture and household goods for homes that will be built for homeless people in Western Australia. Initially Rotary will provide furniture and household goods for 18 houses to be built in Fremantle and, if successful, will extend those services, and potentially other services, for homes in other areas.
